Farewell to Fat | Meal Prep Day #2

Hello my lovelies. To coincide with the launch of Keto Queens Unite, our Facebook group that explores all things keto and intermittent fasting, I am going to film a few meal prep days.

This is basically me, in the kitchen at home, doing about 2 – 3 hours meal prep for our family of four. Don’t worry, the video is a snapshot only, not the whole meal prep, just a highlights reel and a good chat.

I have picked up the meal prep day concept from our American sisters, especially Kristi Davis, who you can find here. I have learnt lots from Kristi and have really enjoyed watching her meal prep videos.

Changing my relationship with food has been instrumental in helping me move my 25kgs / 55 pounds. I am finding the meal prep days support this.

I meal prep at a time that works for me, then mid week I have plenty on hand to keep me on the straight and not so narrow keto path.

This time I’m making savoury scrolls (bacon, cheese and onion), cheesy white bread from Tara’s Keto Kitchen, pork and veal meatballs, meatloaf and lemon balls. As you can see, it’s family food, nothing fancy here. I make no apologies for that, as there are plenty of gourmet cooks out there. But with two teen boys and a food sensitive hubbie, I stick to what works for all of us, and contributes to our wellbeing.

Well before we were keto, we were gluten free and sugar free. So in all honesty, keto wasn’t that much of a stretch. I did have to tweak some recipes and remove a few things from our everyday foods list. But it has so been worthwhile. I have sorted my weight, my eyes, my cravings, my energy levels and more with keto and IF. Read about my unexpected keto gifts here.

Anyway, enough of that. I hope you enjoy my meal prep videos. I intend to do two a month so go subscribe to Le Plus Three on YouTube so you will always be in the know. Most recipes will be here, but if you can’t find something give me a shout and I will provide the details.

As always, just a gentle reminder that this is my pathway, and it may not be yours. I’m sharing my experiences to add value to your journey. Said with love, kindness and zero judgement. Big squeeze, Le xox
