Review | Parvana Express Toner | Ash

Something very girly for today … my thoughts on Pravana Chromasilk Express Toners and a how to. I have been a ‘DIY’ hair colour girl forever, well since I was 13 anyway. I have done everything from the palest shade of white to the deepest darkest black. Plus pink, blue, purple, red, and everything in between. I have bleached, streaked, foiled and coloured from my bathroom for years. I draw the line at cutting. I still recall my beautiful mum cutting my fringe as a kid. We would sticky tape it down and cut. I bow down to great cutters.

So this weekend was hair colour maintenance time. To be fair, I was a bit lazy and went to see my hairdresser, but she said no to my request to not touch my greys and just do a blend. She said grow it out … seriously, grow it out is not the answer. So I took matters into my own hands. Video explains most, and I will include some helpful links further on.

Now my go to brand is Pravana. Love Love Love Pravana. In Australia I get my Pravana from Beserk. Brisbane based Beserk have excellent customer service, and super cool range of goth for your inner dark queen. Mail order or pick up from Windsor. In New Zealand I found Pravana at Sinister, although I don’t think they stock toners, just colours. My NZ bunnies can buy from Beserk as they have free post to NZ for orders over $89, or otherwise it’s only $12.95.

Here is comparison pics, from before and after.

The Express Toner range is fab, go here to find your favourite. I favour ash and smokey silver, but it really depends on what you want to achieve. If you have any questions that I can answer, please leave a comment and I will come back to you.

Now before you leave, a brief hair history of recent colours and styles I have worn. I love having a hair history, it brings me such joy, so forgive my self indulgent moment. Cheers Le
