As an aside I do enjoy photographing mother nature up close and personal. Like this spider web with ice crystals. Living in Central Otago for three years has given me ample opportunity to capture images like this. Right in my own backyard.
I am attracted to photographing every day items in detail. I do think the detail is often overlooked in the greater scheme of things. I paint large scale works, and photograph detail. Slightly odd I know, but variety is the spice of life they say.
But, like my artwork, my photos often feature only a few colours and are either moody and dark, like the spider web, or they are joyous and bright on steroids, like the bumble bee below. We have sooooo many bumble bees in our Aramoana garden, I think we are some sort of bumble bee hang out club.
Have a great day observing the detail in your life that you might otherwise bypass, cheers Le.
