Hello there, sharing my current favourite art work. This is acrylics on framed canvas. This was inspired by a stormy, winter afternoon at Aramoana. Sunny days are all good and well, but it’s the stormy, dark, murky days that inspire me to paint.
I like the challenge of painting with a limited array of colours, a self imposed disciple. I also strive to capture emotion, more than a scene.
I came back to painting this year as a foil for work related stress. It has ‘worked’ a treat and I am now back in love with the creative process of adding colour and form to canvas. Lucky me.
This baby hangs above my bed for now, as I am not ready to see her go. If you think she would work in your space, drop me a line. Cheers, Le
