One of the things I love most about blogging is the opportunity it gives me to ‘look back in time’. It’s a gift that with one click I can whiz back to January 2009 and I can revisit summertime with the wee lads. Aged 4 and 6 years, this is underneath our Brisbane cottage, built in 1913. All old Brisbane houses worth their stumps have underneaths. Great spaces, out of the heat of the sun and way cooler than upstairs.
About six months after this pic was taken we moved to Burke in the Gulf of Carpentaria. I went from a five minute drive to get groceries, to a five hour drive away in Mount Isa. Mostly our groceries came up with the weekly post run. Good times were had in Burketown. More on that another time. Cheers, Le
